Workshop

Print queue

The Print queue is the workshop's list: every piece waiting on a machine, on every job that's on. It's the first thing the Printing role sees on Home.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the queue

Click Print queue in the sidebar. Ready now is everything you can start; Coming up is waiting on an earlier step or the customer's approval. Pick a machine or a material to see only that, and sort by due date, job, material or machine.

  2. 2

    Count it off

Each piece shows what it uses, its sides, its size and the print files to load. Click Done when it's finished, or type how many are done, like 25 of 40. The next step on the line is up as soon as this one's done.

  3. 3

    Notes and reprints

Click Note to leave a note for the next person. If pieces have to be made again, click Reprint, say how many and why; the material is written down as wasted on the job and the step goes back.

  4. 4

    Run pieces together

Tick pieces for the same machine, even from different jobs, and click Run together. Click Run done when the run is finished, and every piece on it is ticked off.
